(Edmonton, AB) October 5, 2009 - The University of Alberta School of Retailing will name Watch IT! Founder, Darren Bondar, as the recipient of the Outstanding School of Business Alumni with a Career in the Retail Sector. The award will be presented on October 6, 2009, in conjunction with the Henry Singer Award ceremony at the Shaw Conference Centre.
The award is given to a School of Business Alumnus who has excelled and grown in their career in the Retailing industry. The winner is chosen through demonstrated dedication, determination and leadership and will have carved out an exceptional career in the Retailing and Services sector. Bondar will be the third recipient of the award established in 2007.

Bondar, now in his tenth year of operations, was recently a finalist for the 2009 Canadian Franchise Association Award in the category of traditional franchising for franchising 3 to 10 years.
Chip Wilson, Founder, Chairman and Chief of Product of lululemon athletica, recipient of this year's Henry Singer Award, will provide the Keynote Address "My 20 Year Retail MBA Program" at the awards ceremony. Business awards will also be presented in the categories of Outstanding Researcher with Work in Retailing, and Outstanding Independent Retailer who has made an Outstanding Contribution to the Retailing Industry.
