A different look

Dial detail
The “white Shiny Dial” has a pure, chaste complexion. The word, “shiny” may conjure thoughts of a flamboyant persona, however, this is not the case. I would liken the dial, to an angelic English rose, whose fair complexion gently glows, evoking an impression of innocence. It is beautiful.
A small seconds display resides adjacent 7 o’clock, framed with a circlet of gleaming brightwork. While I tend to seek symmetry, in this instance the asymmetric positioning of the subdial works well and delivers a subtle departure from the norm.
They engage with the applied and polished rhodium-plated hour markings and look magnificent. The faceted profile of each applique interfaces with ambient light.The hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated, faceted and exhibiting a silvery hue.
Most importantly, not only is the dial incredibly attractive, it is also very simple to read, courtesy of its clean design.
The case
Hublot has expertly blended polished and satin-finished titanium and the result is very handsome. In particular, I like the vertical satin-finish on the bezel, with fine lines running north to south. Indeed, the orderly orientation of these lines provides a pleasing contradistinction to the non-symmetrical positioning of the aforementioned small seconds display.
Hublot describe the strap as black rubber and gold alligator, however, I would describe it as rich brown. Nevertheless, setting aside the semantics, it delivers a comely charm to the appearance of the watch.
Six H-shaped titanium screws punctuate the surface of the bezel. There is a small part of me which yearns for the heads to line up with the hour markings or run parallel to the edge of the bezel, but this is only a minor niggle.
The strap joins the case in purposeful union, utilising four additional H-shaped titanium screws, two above noon, and two below 6 o’clock. The screws exhibit a robust quality and help to add cohesion to the styling of the strap and case ensemble.
The case back features a sapphire crystal revealing the hand-wound movement, HUB1300.
