Did you know that Madison Avenue in New York City is the largest marketplace in North America for fine watches? There are at least 14 major boutiques that offer high-end timepieces on Madison Avenue from about 55th to 70th Street. In collaboration with the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District and The Wall Street Journal, New York will once again experience the Madison Avenue Watch Week this year from May 5th – May 10th, 2014.

It has a stainless steel case that measures 43mm round and 15.2mm thick. The chronograph has a 30-minute totalizer up high and a 12-hour totalizer at six o’clock, plus there’s a running seconds register at nine o’clock. Purists might be annoyed by the date window at three o’clock, but let us recall that this is a watch intended for general consumers and most customers still request watches that show the date. There are two dial color options — sunburst black and sunburst silver. Each offers contrasting tracks for the chronograph sub-registers and a contrasting rehaut using the more detailed timing track on it. The applied even numerals stand a nice height off the dial and also have a vertically brushed finish which makes them look really high-end. Combined with the bright red chronograph seconds hand, the contrasty dial makes reading in a glance quickly really easy. It is nice to realize that Montblanc actually thought about making this type of sensible driving chronograph.Looking in the rest of the opinion, you keep finding more considerate information. The lugs are partially pierced, with a single curved opening onto the side using the pushers and 2 smaller cut-outs on the opposite side. Talking of, those pushers are surrounded with small black knurled rims that match the crown along with the border of the polished black ceramic bezel. Despite being a big sports chronograph, this watch shows great attention to detail and is obviously trying to give wearers a whole lot to love that they won’t find at the competition.Turning the watch above you’ll find that a screw-down caseback with a smoked sapphire window for looking at the motion. Sure the decoration on the caliber isn’t much to write home about, but there’s hardly any reason to not offer a sapphire back onto a watch like this. The movement is that the Montblanc caliber MB 25.07, which will be their version of the Sellita SW500. It’s an automatic chronograph movement with a 46-hour power book, 25 jewels, along with a frequency of 28,800 vph.
